The entire process chain is considered, from the input materials fiber and matrix, through semi-finished product production and the component manufacturing process, to final processing. This also includes the application-specific modification of matrix systems and the processing of carbon fibers and alternative reinforcing fibers in different basic textile structures. The WG is divided into two sub-working groups on the topics of &#8220;Automotive&#8221; and &#8220;Aerospace&#8221;, in each of which industry-specific concerns are given greater consideration. Current topics are the development of cost-effective blends with tailored thermomechanical properties for structural components, process automation, the integration of intelligent tools in the processing, process hybridization, process control and cost reduction along the entire process
