The global challenge of climate change requires joint action. Switzerland therefore wants to bring its CO2 emissions to net zero by 2050 at the latest.<\/p>\n
As part of the solution, the NTN Innovation Booster Plastics for Zero Emission relies on the strengths of the Swiss plastics industry. Together with the research community, disruptive ideas are sought and promoted to avoid CO2 emissions and to develop negative emission technologies. Currently, around 35 companies and universities have already agreed to participate in the Plastics for Zero Emission consortium.<\/p>\n
Cooperation between all partners in the value chain will release economic potential and create jobs in Switzerland.<\/p>\n
In the first call for proposals for the Innovation Booster, which has just been published, ideas are being sought to create the conditions for achieving negative CO2 emissions in the medium to long term in the manufacture, use and recycling of products made of plastics and fibre composites. The 10 to 15 most promising ideas will be implemented in projects and funded with up to CHF 25,000 each. In addition to financial support, the participating individuals and organisations benefit from methodological support, contacts to project partners and potential customers, and increased visibility.<\/p>\n
